- The Parking/Codes Enforcement Department is looking for an Parking/Codes Officer position involving the enforcement of various regulations and codes that affect the health, safety and welfare of all who live, work and visit Oxford Borough. Under the supervision of the Zoning and Codes Officer, the Parking/Codes Enforcement Officer patrols the Borough enforcing local and state building codes, zoning regulations, property maintenance standards and parking laws. This position works directly with the public, spending his/her shift hours patrolling the Borough in a variety of weather conditions. The Parking/Codes Enforcement Officer must be professional, courteous, and tactful with the public, and enforce code requirements in a way that is kind and consistent.
- The Oxford Borough Public Works Department oversees the Borough’s physical assets that support and enhance daily life in the Borough. The person in this position performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled maintenance and repair work to Borough-owned facilities, roads, parks, stormwater and potable water infrastructure. This position requires the operation of a variety of equipment and vehicles and spending hours outside in variable weather conditions. It also includes some direct interaction with the public.
