PARKING IN THE BOROUGH

*Meters and kiosks are enforced from 8 am to 8 pm Monday through Saturday in downtown Oxford. The meters accept coins and the kiosks accept coins and credit card payments.
Video: How to use the kiosks
Parking in the lot has benefits, unlimited time, no more running to the meter after 2 hours and you can use the smartphone application: Whoosh to put time on the kiosk without ever leaving your vehicle or work.
When using the kiosk first check for any tampering, like a skimmer, on the credit card reader. Pull lightly on the reader to be sure no skimmer is attached. Should you notice an issue please contact the Oxford Police Department at 610-998-0032. After hours please call 911 and an on-duty officer will be alerted.
Residential Parking:
If you live in the marked Residential Zones, A, B, or C, as noted on the map, stop into Borough Hall. Applications can be picked up and dropped off Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. A downloadable application is available at the bottom of this page. Applications may also be dropped off through the mail slot after hours.
All Residential Permits are "need based". Once your application is received by the Borough, the need will be verified and a permit will be issued if the need is substantiated. Please allow 24 to 48 hours for processing. Someone will call you when the permit is ready to be picked up.
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
The parking lot kiosks are in place. Parking in the Borough owned parking lots requires using the kiosk to pay for parking by the hour or if you are a resident of the downtown district or an employee of the downtown district you may purchase a permit to park in the lots. The kiosks accept coins and credit cards for payment. When going to the kiosk to pay for parking remember your license plate number. Parking in the lot is Pay by Plate and no ticket will be issued for placement in the vehicle.
Permits are $60.00 per month or less depending on the number of permits purchased and the length of time paid for. An average employee in the downtown working a 40 hour week and paying $1.00 per hour to park would pay $160.00 per month to park. The savings with the purchase of a permit would be, at a minimum, $100.00 per month bringing the cost of parking in the lot to .37 cents per hour.
Permits may be purchased in the Borough Hall 1 Octoraro Alley. Two kiosks will be located in the 2nd Street lot and 1 kiosk will be located on Broad Street between the 2 lots. For more information please contact the Borough Office at 610-932-2500.
