Mayor Announces Citizen Recognition Awards

Mayor Announces Citizen Recognition Awards

Submission Deadline May 15th, 2020

Through the office of Mayor, we recognize citizens for their unheralded work in making Oxford a better place to live, work and enjoy. The success of our community is built upon the efforts of individuals and organizations committed to working for the common good of all. The strength of our community does not reside within the governing body, rather it is built upon the continued contributions of it citizens. Oxford continues to be blessed by these contributions from our various hometown heroes. Since beginning these awards in 2006, 83 individuals and/or organizations have been recognized.

Citizen recognition awards will be given to honor the individuals and organizations that exemplify a commitment to improving the quality of life in the Borough of Oxford. The recipients will have selflessly given in service to others within our community. Often, these acts of kindness go unrecognized. Through these awards, we seek to acknowledge the countless contributions which serve to make the community of Oxford a better place to live.

To qualify for consideration, individuals must be residents of the Borough or work/volunteer in businesses or organizations within the Borough. Anyone can nominate an individual or organization for consideration. Nomination forms can be picked up at the Oxford Police Station, The Borough Hall or downloaded from the borough website
