Oxford Planning Commission
The Borough’s Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance (SALDO) and Zoning Ordinance outline the rules by which land can be developed and used, to help ensure the availability of services and amenities that improve quality of life while respecting the rights of individual property owners. The Oxford Borough Planning Commission advises Borough Council on matters of land development and zoning. The Planning Commission is made up of 5 to 7 appointed volunteers. With the help of the Borough’s consultants and staff, they review and approve site plans to ensure land development is consistent with the Borough’s Comprehensive Plan, ordinances and overall community vision. They review and approve requests for special uses of land. The Planning Commission also provides a forum for the public review and discussion of proposed changes to the Borough’s SALDO and Zoning Ordinance.
